Appearance

He stands at a height of 6’3’’, not very tall for one of his race. Long stands of silky, raven hair falls down past his shoulders, impeccably clean and well kept. Obsidian wings mirror his hair’s cleanliness and his eyes are two endless orbs of seething crimson. His skin is soft and flawless, at least while his illusions are present. Without the aid of his ‘mask’ any would be able to see the long, deep scar that tears into the right side of his face, leaving him blind in his right eye. Sense coming to Hollow, however, a new drowic eye has been placed in the socket his blind eye once resided and he now bears the scars openly (but only as the Little Sparrow) as if it is his badge of honor for surviving the gruesome attack that caused them. The drow eye is an off color when compared to his avian eye, the natural irises appearing brighter and more scarlet than the rich, deep sanguine of the implant. Tracing along the contors of the muscles in his right arm, a series of tribal style tattoos adorn his lightly complected skin and lately he has been bearing bite marks on his neck, vampiric or feline in nature and the symbol of a § right next to them.

Weapons/Magic Items

Drowic Eye of Clairvoyance-

An eye that once belonged to a drow elf, it was used to replace Arcos’s damaged eye. The expert avian engineer Cerinii placed the eye in the socket and then the implanted optic was then enchanted by the master wizard Syrus, the silver, Dracton. This single eyeball gives Arcos the ability to see in the dark, see illusions including invisibility, see and understand magical auras, enchantments, and elements, as well as being able to see through three inches of matter. The eye patch he wears most of the time nullifies the eye’s enchantments so he must remove the magic patch before the eye will function.

Ring of Distorted Vision-

At first glance the ring appears to be a master crafted platinum band but once its powers are evoked the ring takes on a more sinister presence. Black runes carved into the metal, which only show when activated, cause the wearer to appear blurry and distorted. The enchantment works just like a displacer beast, creating a light-bending barrier that continually surrounds the wearer, making it difficult to surmise their true location.

The Unlucky Thirteen-

The unlucky thirteen is the named coined by Arcos and is what he calls his arsenal of palmable weapons. At -all- times he is carrying at least thirteen daggers or knives on him, most of them concealed.

Jeweled Dagger-

One of the unlucky thirteen, this is the dagger he uses the most. Found strapped across his chest in a harness-like hostler, this jeweled dagger was gifted to him by his teacher when he finished his assassin training long ago. Stored in the gems on the hilt are small pockets of mana that can be used for weapon manipulation and illusions.

Bloodlust Dagger-

He keeps the second member of the unlucky bunch in a sheath located on his belt. Strategically placed for quick drawing and easy access, this wicked blade has a minor enchantment that causes a wound to keep bleeding until the curse can be removed or the wound healed magically.

Pocket-scalpel-

Number three on the list of his favored weapons, this small blade is always hidden in his long coat’s right pocket. While such a tool should be used for surgical reasons, Arcos has adapted its use into something more on the opposite end of the spectrum. Even in normal conversation, he could have his fingers wrapped around the blade and nobody would be the wiser.

Additional Skills

Subterfuge-

A natural escape artist, he has reached a notalbe level of skill when it comes to concealment, evasion, or escape from physical bondage.

Espionage-

Though mouths of practice and raw experience, he has become an expert at obtaining information with or without the permission of the holder of information.

Eidetic Memory-

Also known as a photographic memory, he has displayed the ability to recall images and sounds with extreme accuracy and in clear detail. He only need study something for approximately 30 seconds for him to recall the subject in near perfect memory.

Corvid Vocalizations-

He can mimic sounds from his envirnment including, but not limited to, speech, accents, whistles, calls, and other sounds made by the vocalizations of others.

Concealed Weaponry-

When it comes to the concealing and wielding of small blades and daggers he knows little bounds. A master of slight-of-hand, he gave up training with any other kind of weapon so he could be the best at his art.

Fear is just interpretation...Feeds my motivation. Our time together is a bloodbath of serenity.

Arcos was orphaned at a very young age, his parents murdered by lycanthropic bandits just a few miles outside of their community’s borders. Either by chance or luck or by the grace of some unknown deity, Arcos survived that attack, losing only his right eye in the process.

When the three year old child found his way back into the arms of his people he was met with not mercy, but incarceration. The laceration on his face would forever brand him as the ‘scarred’ a slur in the eyes of the Collective.

The Collective was the name of the cult that leads his people or so what the cult called itself, it was forbidden to speak the name aloud. When the Collective found out what had become of the child, he was sold into slavery and for twenty years he served a family as a servant, someone to do their dirty work so their hands stayed clean of blood. It wasn’t until the daughter of his masters escaped that his life began to change.

Arocs then came to Hollow, chasing that girl from his past. The avian Zaria had left with something very valuable to his masters and it wasn't long before they sent him to collect it from her. Unbeknownst to Arocs or his masters, the avian they sent him after would be the same one who would set him free.

Casting away his title of 'slave', Arcos abandoned his former master's orders and started living a life of his own as a free man, using the skills he learned from his past life to make life better for himself. Unfortunately, the only skills he was taught as a slave were the arts of killing, but he had to make due with what he was given and started searching for contracts to fill. With no sign of organized assassins, Arcos begain to plot out a way to eliminate the other freelance competition.

It wasn't long before the assassin life lost it's novelty. Arcos thought it would be a lasting thrill but soon found out that hunting marks wasn't exactly worth the gold anymore. His mind was developing interests in other subjects.

Arcos needed purpose and it was purpose he would find. His sanity was starting to suffer under the weight of his idleness. The avian needed a cure for the itch but he didn't know where to look. Soon, that answer came to him with the Apostles of Peace. Peace wasn't exactly an applicable cause for Arcos, but the law was. Was law not created to uphold peace? Of course it was. This was all starting to make sense to Arcos. He met a few of the members, began to get close to them, like them even, and before he knew it he had signed his soul over to them and started a new chapter in his life.

Durning all of this time, the illusionist Zaria bore him two children, Ellaura Constance Adler and Triston Arcavious Adler. Unfortunately, thier mother died giving birth to Triston and Arcos had her cremated in the Collective's traditional way. On her deathbed, Zaria left not only the house and all her belongings to him but also her mana, skills, and memories, storing them all in a magical tattoo she had on her back. When her soul left her boby, Arcos absorbed the tattoo and the powers stored within it.

Don't follow your dreams, Arcos, chase them.

His next duty was simple; Start his life over a second time. This time, however, he would not have to start from scratch. He had a home, a family, and a cause. The only thing left for him to do was to follow his heart and his ambitions where ever they were taking him.

Arcos soon met and fell in love with a member of his clan named Aislinn. Aislinn was a feline, and despite his cult's downward view on avian crossbreeding the dark avian loved and cared for this girl a great deal. He had developed a kind of obsession for felines all because of his past feelings for Hikoro, the first feline he ever got close to. However, his love for Aislinn was short lived and she left him after a misunderstanding between them.

Heartbroken over his loss, the once cocky and arrogant avian fell victim to a deep depression. Arcos was a stranger to the feeling, yet the magic tattoos that stored Zaria's memories on his back seemed to know what that pain was. Either way, it offered little to no solace. He would not let the cold blackness of this heartache consume him. He would embrace the feeling, get used to it. He would let the hollow emptiness point him in the right direction and fuel his needs and wants.

This got him nowhere. He was lost, out looking for Aislinn a vampire caught his scent. Arcos had just given up hope of ever finding his feline when suddenly he felt the icy grip of a vampire's gaze upon him. The avian played it coy but the vampiress was a smooth operator. Her ghostly presence and seductive persona led Arcos astray, twisting him around her finger until he was her puppet. What did -he- have to lose anyway? When she asked him to sign over his soul there was no hesitation. He signed the contract and bond himself to it's words. Until he was sired he was her property and had to do everything she told him to do.

When you wake up... Everything will be so much different...

After a few long weeks of keeping the Apostles of Peace a secret from the Blackbird, he was turned into a bloodthirsty undead. This broke him free from the binds of both the contract and the laws of the Collective. Now his mind was warped and chaotic, full of desires and emotions that he never knew before. On the inside he was a monster but on the outside he continued to play the role of law abiding citizen, never giving away that his soul had been stolen and his heart turned to stone.

Pretending to still be a mortal avian, Arcos started to develop a lust for the power vampirism had showed him. It was a dangerous lust. A burning lust. His ambitions for power had grown so high that they had already gotten the better of him.
